TRANSOCEANIA
2009
During March 2009 I visited Hawai’i to give a keynote lecture at the University of Hawai’i School of Asian and Pacific Studies entitled “Transoceania: Rethinking the Pacific from Asia.” I then traveled with colleagues to Saipan to conduct research on war memory and Japan’s legacies.
